About Matthew
Matt Romine relishes each morning as it sets the tone for what can be a busy day. As an associate wealth advisor, he supports an advisory team in all facets of their client relationships. Matt assembles the necessary information for annual client review meetings. He also participates in these meetings, running the planning software and taking notes to be sure and capture client thoughts and concerns.
While starting his career as an accountant, Matt found he loved working with numbers, but not the repetitiveness of the job. He finds financial planning much more fulfilling as it gives him the opportunity to take his accounting skills and use them to help individuals work towards their financial goals. Matt says being able to sit down with clients and learn about their past, their goals and watching their plan play out over time is one of the most rewarding aspects of his role.
Prior to joining Buckingham, Matt was a paraplanner at GreenCourse Financial Advisors. He also served as an accountant at Joe Held & Associates and Cushman & Wakefield. Matt received a bachelor’s of science in business administration and accounting from Southeast Missouri State University.
When not in the office Matt can be found playing hockey and golf. He lives in St. Charles County with his Golden Retriever, Buck, who has more energy than Matt could ever hope to have.
