The best part of Makie’s day is meeting with clients to learn about their goals, the people in their lives, their financial needs — all so she can help craft a customized wealth management plan that addresses each client’s unique circumstances. Makie especially enjoys witnessing first-hand how her work can impact clients and the milestones in their lives — sending a child to college, starting retirement, buying a dream home.
As an associate wealth advisor, Makie enjoys using her strong analytical skills to ensure that clients’ portfolios are in line with their goals. She works with a team of wealth advisors to evaluate wealth analyses, implement planning techniques, complete Social Security evaluations and finalize necessary paperwork.
Makie joined Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2017. Previously, she was at Morgan Stanley for three years, first in client service and then as an alternative investment specialist, and has worked in the financial services industry since 2010. Makie holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in personal financial planning from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
When she’s not serving clients, Makie can likely be found training for marathons. She regularly participates in races for the Alzheimer’s Associate and American Cancer Society to raise money and awareness for these organizations.
