Thelia Eagan, CPA/PFS
Thelia Eagan is a wealth advisor with more than 25 years of experience as a tax and financial advisor. As a CPA, Thelia was frustrated watching her clients struggle through financial decisions without coordinated advice.
Thelia provides service to clients in all aspects of their financial lives. Her focus includes working with successful individuals to find comprehensive solutions to a broad spectrum of advanced financial planning needs and objectives. She specializes in planning for retirement, estate and gift tax, income tax, and investments.
With her knowledge of donor advised funds, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts and private foundations, she also has unique expertise in helping clients with philanthropic intentions.
In 2002, Thelia was awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The PFS designation recognizes CPAs with considerable professional experience in financial planning.
Prior to merging with Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2010, Thelia served as a Principal of Wealth Management Consultants, LLC (WMC). Before joining WMC in 1998, she was a tax manager at a large local public accounting firm. As a California licensed CPA, Thelia specialized in trust, estate, gift and individual taxation for high net-worth clients. In addition, she gained significant experience working with charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts and private foundations. Consulting with entrepreneurs and executives, Thelia often incorporated advanced income tax planning for stock options, charitable giving, retirement income and family wealth transfers.
A native of northern California, she currently serves on the General Board and the Investment Advisory Committee of Community Foundation Sonoma County and is an alumnus of the Leadership Santa Rosa program. Thelia received her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Pacific Union College.
She has also earned a Graduate Certificate in Estate Planning from Golden Gate University’s School of Taxation.
