Micky Reeves, CFP®, CLU®, CKA®

Micky Reeves has always been a people person with a passion for helping others. Marry that with his fascination for personal finance, and his career in financial services seems tailor made for this Texas native.

A wealth advisor, Micky brings more than 19 years of experience in financial services to the table helping individuals, families and businesses achieve their financial goals. Prior to joining Buckingham in 2013, Micky served as president and wealth counselor for JWA Financial Group in Dallas. In his five years at JWA, Micky also served as vice president of operations and chief compliance officer, overseeing many facets of the firm’s day-to-day operations, including marketing, staffing and strategic planning. Earlier in his career, Micky also held leadership roles as Executive Director at USAA Financial Planning Services and West Territory Manager at ICMA Retirement Corporation.

Micky is proud of the fiduciary role he takes when advising his clients, and Buckingham Strategic Wealth’s evidence-based approach to investing means that he can help them make objective, non-emotional decisions about their financial best interests. The relationships he develops with his clients combined with Buckingham’s holistic approach to wealth management helps ensure investment decisions align with the personal goals and values of his clients when it comes to saving for retirement, education expenses, estate planning, philanthropic giving and tax strategies.

Micky is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, a Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Kingdom Advisor®. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station. Micky and his wife, Melanie, have three daughters and are active in their local church and their kids’ extracurriculars. Micky also serves as treasurer for the Board of Cornerstone Ranch, a nonprofit ministry that cares for adults with special needs by providing them with residential, community and enrichment services.
