Associate Wealth Advisor

Joe Metcalf

After spending a decade at a large broker-dealer firm, Joe was conflicted with the investment methodology incorporated into the client relationship. He wasn’t fully able to help clients achieve their financial goals and dreams in a strategic, responsible, cost-effective way. Joe found his way to Buckingham Strategic Wealth, where he adheres to strict fiduciary guidelines so clients’ best interests are at the heart of his work.

Joe is also passionate about the work Buckingham does to apply academic research in its investment philosophy and to provide ongoing educational support to both advisors and clients. He collaborates with a team of advisors to deliver an experience that helps clients identify their most important goals and then build, implement and monitor a plan to help them reach those objectives. The most satisfying part of Joe’s work is developing relationships, mutual respect and understanding with clients.

As a perpetual early riser, Joe enjoys early mornings in his office, using the extra time to continually challenge and develop his understanding of impactful worldwide events, industry changes and new learning opportunities. Prior to joining Buckingham, he was with Edward Jones. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and economics from Saint Louis University. He is working toward a master’s degree in personal financial planning and has also passed the series 7 and series 66 exams.

A proud member of his hometown, Joe was born and raised in St. Louis, and now lives there with his wife, daughter and two dogs. He is an avid sports fan (Blues and Cardinals, of course) and runner, and enjoys traveling and reading for pleasure. Joe and his wife are passionate supporters of United Way, Greater Saint Louis, because they’ve experienced the positive impact that United Way can have first-hand, and plan to support the program for many years to come.

Let's look at the big picture, together.
