About Jeff
With his experience as a CPA, Jeff Chernitzer had long helped his clients with their accounting and tax needs. Yet, he also had a desire to guide them through all phases of wealth management. So in 2000, he became co-founder of WealthQuest Financial Services in Norfolk, Virginia, serving as its managing member until the firm merged with Buckingham Strategic Wealth in 2018.
Jeff gets great professional satisfaction from serving as a trusted advisor for all of his clients’ wealth management needs, be it tax planning or estate planning. Through his 35 years in the financial planning industry, he has cultivated a deep understanding of the needs of individuals, families, nonprofits and small businesses. He builds and implements customized all-encompassing financial plans that take into account each client’s specific situations and objectives.
Before founding WealthQuest, Jeff helped established Wall, Einhorn & Chernitzer, P.C. CPAs. He earned the Personal Financial Specialist designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Old Dominion University, where he has served on its university foundation and athletic foundation.
