Much Ado About Nothing

Carl Richards shares some perspective on recent stock market activity in the following commentary.

“In the past few weeks, the headlines would lead you to believe that ‘something big’ is happening in the stock market. It doesn’t matter if the story is about the Dow closing at a new high or debating if we’re due for a correction. Ultimately, it’s much ado about nothing and involves things we can’t control.

What’s entirely within our control is hitting the mute button and ignoring the noise. Otherwise, it will be difficult to avoid the temptation of looking for ‘something’ in the nothing.”
