Buckingham Stories: Ed Goldberg, Wealth Advisor
Ed Goldberg credits his analytical mind to his father. Ed absorbs every detail, no matter if he’s helping form Buckingham’s investment policy, studying every tactical angle of a client’s situation or simply breaking down his golf swing.
Ed’s competitive zeal comes from his mother, who taught him to always do something to the absolute best of his ability. This outlook has served him well, whether he was rising through the ranks of his family’s business early in his career, becoming a go-to subject-matter expert to his Buckingham clients and colleagues, or playing the piano and clarinet at an accomplished level.
Along the way, Ed has passed on some of his own characteristics and talents to his family, such as when he advises his son to show more patience on the golf course, teaches one of his grandchildren how to play a song on the piano, or shares career advice with his children, to whom he tells: If you can do what you like with whom you like, then you can’t ask for anything more. The details and drive
behind Ed’s own career indicate those are wise words.
